Program Settings ================ This is one of the most important section in AnyDVD HD. Here, you may configure and adapt AnyDVD HD to suit your individual needs. .. figure:: /_static/anydvd/en/anydvd-programsettings.png :alt: Program Settings AnyDVD HD in its default settings is ready to use for most operations. * **Enable AnyDVD** Here you can switch off AnyDVD HD completely for troubleshooting. * **Autostart** If this option is enabled, AnyDVD HD will be started upon Windows startup. * **Agressive I/O Mode** This is the "highly aggressive I/O mode". Enable it only, if you use software which otherwise will not see AnyDVD's magic, like InterVideo DVDCopy, 1-click DVD-Copy or Pinnacle Instant copy. "Aggressive I/O Mode" should not be necessary if you use well designed software. .. warning:: Using "Aggressive I/O Mode" may degrade system stability. "Aggressive I/O Mode" is not available and not required in Windows 9X/ME. * **Hide Icon** This option hides the AnyDVD HD tray icon. It is NOT recommended to disable the tray icon, because it provides you with important visual feedback. * **Automatically check for new AnyDVD version** AnyDVD HD will connect to the RedFox update server and automatically inform you about any new version if this option is enabled. * **Show information window for new media** This option allows you to display an information window after new media is inserted. You will see what AnyDVD HD has detected and what changes were done to the disc structure. The text in the information window is not translated and available in English only. * **Show Balloon Tip while AnyDVD is scanning discs** AnyDVD HD can display a balloon tip in addition to changing the tray icon color, which could easily be overlooked. * **Show information window while AnyDVD is scanning discs** AnyDVD HD can display an information window in addition to changing the tray icon color, which could easily be overlooked. * **Disable power saving while using AnyDVD ripper** Prevents your computer to enter standby while ripping a disc * **Show warning, if no drive is detected** If this option is disabled, AnyDVD HD will not warn you if no drive is detected or a reboot is required. * **Show warning, when ripping a DVD to image** If this option is disabled, AnyDVD will create images from DVDs without asking you if this is the format you wish them to be in. * **Show warning, when creating a protected image** If this option is disabled, AnyDVD will create protected images without asking if this is the format you wish them to be in. * **Show "Aggressive I/O Mode" warning** Shows a warning dialog if applications requiring "Aggressive I/O Mode" are detected. * **Prevent player software from detecting Cinavia** Prevent player software (ArcSoft TMT, Cyberlink PowerDVD, WinDVD, Nero Blu-ray player) from detecting Cinavia. If the patch is working, the AnyDVD icon in the notification area will turn purple. * **Remove Cinavia watermark from CloneBD audio stream during copy** Remove Cinavia audio watermark from the audio data within CloneBD during a copy operation. CloneBD must decode the audio stream (enable AC3 conversion!). If the patch is working, the AnyDVD icon in the notification area will turn purple. .. tip:: You ought to try to remember which settings you have changed and which effect this has had, but if not, do not worry. Just hit the "Default" button. It might become your best friend in the first few days. External Program ---------------- AnyDVD HD can start programs or batch files if you insert or remove media from your optical disc drives. You can specify different programs or batch files, depending on the type of media you insert and the type of video material recorded on the media. .. figure:: /_static/anydvd/en/anydvd-programsettings-external.png :alt: External Program Settings This is very useful if you wish to adjust the vertical refresh rate of your monitor or projector, depending on the type of video material you insert. We have added the program SetDisplayFrequency to the AnyDVD HD distribution, but you may use other tools like MultiRes or PowerStrip as well. If you check this box you will be offered various settings within this added program, all of which really speak for themselves and do not need much explanation here.
